Jedi Apprentice, The Dark Rival, by dave wolverton.

these are books on what happened to obi-wan and qui-gonn before the movies.
Plot: minimal
Feelings of Characters: strong

Sabriel, Lirael, and Abhorsen by garth nix

Sabriel, Lirael, and Abhorsen are the books of the abhorsen trilogy. i liked these books because of the magic and military stuff. and Mogget and the Disreputable dog. if i had a cat i would name it mogget., but i don't have any pets, though i do take care of the class gerbils, named Peaches (or 'Peaches of Me' after the hit song), and Mr. Shirley (they used to be 'Ying' and 'Yang'). i didn't like the way time passes., sometimes in hours, sometimes in years. i have all 3 in one book. at graduation, one girl read a poem, 'does the walker choose the path or does the path choose the walker', but i couldn't find it.
i found more yarn at the yarn store, red sock wool tht's really neat. i have finished the bag, but not the strap. i need to finish by tomorrow.

Movie trouble.

On Saturday, I went with my friends to a end-of-year party with my friends. But during the entire movie, my friend Alaphia, sitting next to me, TALKED!!! We almost got thrown out, but the guy with the lightsaber who came for us couldn't find us in the dark. And she got quiet when he came in. Also, they forgot to mention to some of us the correct price of tickets and the fact that we should inform our parents that we were going out to dinner. So I couldn't go because of short notice.

Stravaganza: City of Masks, By Mary Hoffman

Stravaganza, City of Masks, By Mary Hoffman is about Lucien, a 15 (?) year old boy with brain cancer. One day, his father brings him a red and purple swirled notebook, that was made in Venice. That night, he falls asleep holding the book and stravagates, or travels through time and space, to Belleza, a city-state in Talia, which is on a parallel plane to Italy, as is Belleza to Venice. He then becomes Luciano, an apprentice to a powerful sorcerer, while in the real world he is just being taken off chemotherapy. How can he live in both worlds and still survive?

Ages: 8-15
Rating: B+
High Points: great comparison to Venice, nice Italian words, great plot.
Low Points: sad ending
